Beyond 9/11: Portraits of Resilience
I cannot believe it has been ten years. I remember every moment of my experience on September 11, 2001, as do countless other New Yorkers (If you have not seen it yet, spend a moment with Time Magazines incredible multimedia tribute). It is with a heavy heart that I reflect on all of the lives lost that day, yet I also feel grateful that I was surrounded by so many wonderful people in NYC then and now. I love you New York, it is a privilege to live here. (*This is both a wonderful song from artist Ryan Adams, and the video happened to be shot on September 7, 2001)

The mechanics of the city, the masters, well-form'd,

shops and shows,
A million people—manners free and superb—open voices—

City of hurried and sparkling waters! city of spires and masts!
